[Hubei Cracks First Virtual Currency Theft Case, Involved Funds Exceed 100 Million Yuan]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Officer Guo Tingyu from the Cybersecurity Brigade of the Qingshan District Branch of Wuhan Public Security Bureau participated in solving Hubei's first virtual currency theft case. By tracking the fund chain and analyzing fake wallet codes, authorities identified and dismantled a theft ring involving funds exceeding 100 million yuan. All five suspects have been apprehended. Reports indicate that the group developed counterfeit virtual currency wallet apps to lure users into downloading them, resulting in over ten thousand downloads. Guo Tingyu has also been involved in solving multiple criminal cases related to virtual currency. (Hubei Daily)
