Now in its fourth consecutive year, it’s become one of Asia’s most iconic crypto events. This year’s theme was 'Mountains, Wind, Clouds, Sea,' featuring 20+ in-depth forums, 400+ speakers, 200+ cutting-edge projects, and tens of thousands of online and offline participants. Here are some of the highlights from the event: - Financial Secretary Paul Chan emphasized seizing the opportunities brought by AI and Web3’s rapid development, tackling challenges, and driving Hong Kong to become an international digital finance hub. - Vitalik shared Ethereum’s roadmap, focusing on infrastructure upgrades. - Exchange leaders like He Yi, Richard Teng, and Lennix Lai joined representatives from traditional financial institutions like HSBC and Sharplink to dive deep into 'TradFi x Crypto convergence': scaling stablecoin development, cross-border payments, and asset digitization (RWA). - The AI+Web3 session was packed, exploring how intelligent agents can combine with decentralized trust to reshape value creation and distribution. My biggest takeaway: the industry is maturing rapidly. Compliance is becoming the cornerstone for earning user trust and achieving long-term growth. The core of Web3 needs to shift from 'crypto self-hype' to serving the masses, integrating AI, RWA, and stablecoins into the real economy. Hong Kong is accelerating its position as Asia’s Web3 compliance hub through policy support and innovative practices. The bridge between traditional finance and the crypto world is becoming increasingly clear here. Seeing so many builders, institutions, and developers sparking real collaboration on-site was genuinely exciting. The execution phase of Web3 has officially begun.
