[Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister: Temporary Ceasefire Unacceptable, Calls for Complete End to Conflict]
According to a report by Jinse Finance on April 18, citing CCTV, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh stated on the 17th that Iran does not accept a temporary ceasefire and demands a complete end to conflicts across the region. Speaking to media reporters on the sidelines of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum held in Belek, Antalya Province, Turkey, Khatibzadeh said that short-term or temporary ceasefires would prolong instability and fail to fundamentally resolve conflicts and tensions. This is Iran's clear stance.
He further stated that any ceasefire plan must encompass all conflict areas from Lebanon to the Red Sea. Iran is committed to ending the "cycle of conflict" in the region, emphasizing that the recurring pattern of "temporary calm" followed by "renewed conflict" must be brought to an end.
