[Iranian Media: U.S. Refuses to Unfreeze 25% of Iran's Frozen Funds]
According to Fars News, cited by Jinshi, the U.S. has refused to unfreeze 25% of Iran's frozen funds in its response to Iran. Reportedly, the U.S. outlined five key conditions in its reply to Iran's proposal: the U.S. will not pay any compensation or war damage fees; Iran must transport 400 kilograms of enriched uranium out of the country and hand it over to the U.S.; Iran will only be allowed to retain one nuclear facility for continued operation; the U.S. refuses to unfreeze Iran's frozen assets; ceasefires across all fronts must be contingent upon the initiation of negotiations. The report emphasized that even if Iran meets these conditions, the threat of attacks from the U.S. and Israel against Iran will persist. The report quoted analysts as saying that the U.S.'s proposal is not aimed at resolving the issue but rather seeks to achieve the political and military objectives it failed to accomplish during the war through negotiation tactics.
