The talks between the United States and Iran are expected to be held in Islamabad and may take place on Sunday Odaily Daily reported that the talks between the United States and Iran are expected to be held in Islamabad and may take place on Sunday. Two US officials and two sources familiar with the negotiations revealed that the US and Iran are in talks on a three page plan to end the war, with one element of the discussion being that the US will unfreeze $20 billion in Iranian funds in exchange for Iran abandoning its enriched uranium stockpile. According to two sources, in the early stages of negotiations, the US proposed to unfreeze $6 billion for humanitarian supplies, while Iran demanded $27 billion. According to sources, the latest figure discussed between the United States and Iran is $20 billion. A US official stated that this is a proposal from the US side. Another US official described the concept of "cash for uranium" as "one of many discussions". At the same time, the United States is demanding that Iran agree to transport all of its nuclear materials to the United States, while Iran only agrees to "dilute" them within its borders. According to the compromise plan under discussion, some highly enriched uranium will be shipped to a third country (not necessarily the United States), and some will be diluted within Iran under international supervision.
