[South Korea's "Revenge Mediation" Agencies Charge Fees in USDT for Violent Crimes, Continue Operating Despite Leader's Arrest]
Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on April 14, according to DL News, several "revenge mediation" agencies in South Korea that use cryptocurrency as a payment method have remained active recently. These agencies take orders via Telegram, offering services such as intimidation, assault, and even murder disguised as accidental incidents. They require clients to pay a 50% deposit in USDT and promise to send action videos recorded with body cameras through Telegram. Despite the alleged ringleader being arrested on April 3, related online advertisements continued to be published as of April 13. South Korean police have investigated over 50 related cases this year, arrested approximately 30 individuals, and confirmed that all cases involved cryptocurrency payments.
