[Analyst: U.S. March CPI Data May First Substantially Reflect the Impact of Iranian Energy Shock]
Golden Finance reported on April 9 that analysts from First Citizens Bank in the U.S. stated in a report that the CPI data released on Friday is expected to first substantially reflect the transmission of the Iranian energy shock. Driven by soaring energy costs, overall inflation will accelerate. The bank's head of market and economic research said: 'Since core inflation is affected more moderately, although still significantly above the target, the Federal Reserve will currently "ignore" the energy-driven inflation surge.' He noted that this will reinforce the Fed's long-term stance of staying put and closely link potential rate cuts to the normalization of energy prices. (Jin10)
