Hu Xiaowei, a member of the Cambodian Crown Prince Group, has been sanctioned by the UK
BlockBeats news, on March 27th, according to Caixin, after more than two months of detention, the founder of Cambodia's Crown Prince Group, Chen Zhi, the UK has further imposed sanctions on Southeast Asian fraud networks, including Hu Xiaowei, who is closely associated with Chen Zhi. The UK government refers to Hu Xiaowei as a "long-term collaborator" of the Crown Prince Group, and the association originated from the private server of "Legend" and later jointly established companies both domestically and overseas. On March 26th, the UK government website announced this sanction information, which includes multiple natural persons and entities related to the Crown Prince Group.
Chen Zhi, 38 years old, is the founder of the Taizi Group and comes from a fishing village in Fujian. He previously opened an internet cafe and worked as a network administrator. He started his career by hacking and "robbing" the private servers of "Legend". More than a decade ago, he went to Southeast Asia and became a Cambodian citizen. Within a few years, he controlled a single global electronic fraud network and earned millions of dollars daily as a duke, with a net worth of tens of billions of dollars. The Bitcoin confiscated by the United States alone was worth 15 billion dollars. At the peak of popularity, Chen Zhi was also in Singapore, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, China, China and other places. In early January 2026, he was stripped of his Cambodian nationality and deported back to China on suspicion of fraud, illegal business operations, and concealing criminal proceeds.
