[The Japanese Government Begins Releasing National Oil Reserves Today]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on March 26, the Japanese government has started releasing its national oil reserves as of today. According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, the release of national oil reserves will begin at 11:00 a.m. local time on the 26th at the 'Kikuma National Oil Reserve Base' located in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry stated that the government plans to successively initiate the release of oil reserves at nine bases nationwide, including this base, within March. By April, two additional bases will be added, ultimately expanding the release to 11 bases across Japan. The total release volume is expected to be approximately 8.5 million kiloliters, equivalent to about one month's oil consumption in Japan. (CCTV News)
