Farming rewards is basically a dead loop when you think about it. Projects that genuinely want to go long-term wouldn’t dare rely on farming rewards to attract users. The ones who come aren’t real users—they’re just profit-hunting machines sniffing out opportunities. But if you don’t have any initial users, you’re forced to use this tactic to kickstart things. And what happens? The people who love short-term pump-and-dump schemes end up becoming the 'foundation' of long-term projects. The irony is, most projects eventually lose their way, shifting from building ecosystems to purely playing liquidity games. What’s worse, some don’t even generate any revenue, and in the end, all the rewards still come out of the pockets of the users themselves.
