Think Big PAC Post Advertisement Accuses New York Congressional Candidate Alex Bores of Receiving Over $100000 in Support from SBF Political Network
Odaily Planet Daily News: Alex Bores, the Democratic primary candidate for the 12th Congressional District in New York and a member of the New York State House of Representatives, was attacked by the pro tech super political action committee Think Big PAC for mailing promotional materials that linked it to over $100000 in independent support provided by the SBF 2022 political network. CoinDesk has confirmed the relevant amount through state election declaration documents.
A spokesperson for Think Big PAC stated that Bores "received over $100000 from SBF's political network," but refused to acknowledge any affiliation and criticized in an email that his campaign funding situation was inconsistent with voter positions. The primary contenders include Jack Schlossberg, George Conway, and others, vying for the seat to replace Congressman Jerry Nadler.
Think Big PAC expresses its support for candidates who align with pro tech policies and opposes candidates seen as unfriendly to AI innovation; Bores recently proposed legislation focused on AI security and accountability at the state level in New York. The report also stated that Think Big PAC had previously spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising targeting Bores, and the Bores campaign team had issued a cease and desist letter regarding the related advertising, accusing it of containing "false and defamatory statements".
