[Iraq is negotiating with Iran, hoping to allow oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz]
According to Golden Finance, on March 18, Iraqi Oil Minister Sawad stated on Tuesday that Iraq is negotiating with Iran to ensure that some of its oil tankers can pass through the Strait of Hormuz. In a television interview, he said: 'We need to provide them with the identity, names, ownership, and information of these vessels.' Due to the Middle East conflict causing exports via the Strait of Hormuz to be effectively disrupted, Iraq has reduced its daily crude oil production from approximately 4.2 million barrels to slightly above 1 million barrels.
