Did December Corn Peak Near $5? Corn's $5-a-bushel ceiling may have solidified due to the Iran war. When December corn (Dec26) began trading in 2022 at about the same price as on March 9 near $4.85 a bushel, US ending stocks were around 1.2 billion bushels. Now, inventories are closer to 2.1 billion. Elevated leftover supply from 2025's bumper Corn Belt crop, along with the recent price bounce, can accelerate a typical low-price-cure pattern.
