[Bitcoin Treasury Company Empery Digital's Major Shareholder Demands Sale of All Bitcoin and Cash Distribution to Shareholders]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, the U.S.-listed Bitcoin treasury company Empery Digital (EMPD), which holds 3,723 Bitcoins, is embroiled in an intense shareholder dispute. The third-largest shareholder, Tice P. Brown, who holds a 10.3% stake, has publicly called for the resignation of the company's Co-CEO Ryan Lane and the board of directors, advocating for the sale of all Bitcoin assets and the distribution of cash to shareholders.
Brown accused the management of poor governance, alleging that employees were allowed to engage in large-scale "intraday trading" of Bitcoin derivatives. The company, however, has denied these allegations, stating that selling all Bitcoin would harm the long-term strategic value.
