[Milan Expresses Willingness to Continue at the Federal Reserve, Powell Becomes a Thorn in the Side]
Odaily Planet Daily News – Federal Reserve Governor Milan stated on Wednesday that he would be 'very willing' to remain at the Federal Reserve long-term if asked, but the decision is not in his hands. Milan's term in his current position has expired, making the seat the only one President Trump can nominate for former Federal Reserve Governor Walsh, who was his choice for Federal Reserve Chair. This is unless Federal Reserve Chair Powell resigns from his position as Governor when his term as Chair expires in mid-May. Powell has not yet indicated his intentions regarding staying or leaving. In an interview, Milan said: 'The developments later this year depend on multiple factors: whether there is a vacancy, the President's choice, and the Senate's confirmation decision.'
