I recently met with the leadership of the Factories Corporation of Jamaica (FCJ) to review their strategic roadmap for our national infrastructure. We want to move away from old, crowded spaces and create places where government services, private businesses, and small entrepreneurs can all work and grow together. Using the Morant Bay Urban Centre as our blueprint, we are bringing similar developments to Boundbrook, Naggo Head, Old Harbour, and Negril. These hubs will provide quality, affordable spaces for small businesses, create thousands of jobs close to home, and make it easier for Jamaicans to access essential services, like the Tax Office, courts, banks, and supermarkets.(Andrew Holness)
