I have always said that agriculture is not only about planting crops, it is about how we move food from the farm to the market. If we do not plan it properly, farmers lose money and food goes to waste. Under my administration, we have invested in improving farm roads so farmers can transport their produce more easily. What we have built in Essex Valley, St. Elizabeth is a storage facility with cold storage, to reduce spoilage and help farmers get better value for their crops. This is how we support farmers, by building the systems that help them succeed.(Andrew Holness)
