#HappeningNow: We are officially handing over the Essex Valley Agro-Processing Facility and Administrative Building in Essex Valley, St. Elizabeth. This is an important step for agriculture in Jamaica. For many years, our farmers have lost too much produce because of poor storage and limited processing. This cool storage and agro-processing facility is helping to change that. It allows farmers to properly store their crops, reduce spoilage, and turn fresh produce into higher-value products. We are protecting what our farmers grow, reducing waste, and strengthening Jamaica’s food security.(Andrew Holness)
