[Insider: NVIDIA and OpenAI's Massive $100 Billion Collaboration Stalls] According to a report by Jinse Finance, insiders revealed that NVIDIA (NVDA.O)'s plan to invest up to $100 billion in OpenAI to help train and operate its latest artificial intelligence models has stalled, as some internal personnel at the chip giant have expressed doubts about the collaboration. The two companies announced this massive deal last September at NVIDIA's headquarters in Santa Clara, California. They signed a memorandum of understanding in which NVIDIA would build at least 10 gigawatts (GW) of computing power facilities for OpenAI. Additionally, the chip manufacturer agreed to invest up to $100 billion to help OpenAI cover related costs. As part of the deal, OpenAI agreed to lease chips from NVIDIA.
