According to WuShuo and *The Chosun Ilbo*, South Korean police recently cracked down on a group of suspects involved in large-scale drug trafficking via social media platforms like Telegram, using virtual assets as a payment method. The Gangwon Police Agency reported that over the past year, 131 individuals connected to the case were arrested, including 54 distributors and sellers, and 77 drug users, with 44 people already detained. Police discovered that the drugs were mostly smuggled in from Southeast Asia, repackaged, and sold, with transactions primarily settled through virtual assets. Over 60% of the suspects are aged between 20 and 30.
