Deutsche Bank:
Europe holds real leverage because it is 'America's largest creditor.' Deutsche Bank estimates that Europeans hold about $8 trillion in U.S. bonds and stocks, nearly twice the total of the rest of the world combined. With such high exposure to the dollar, if more funds are withdrawn or reallocated from dollar assets, it could put pressure on U.S. Treasury bonds, push up yields, and weigh on the dollar.
