Burwick Law has refiled a lawsuit against Pump fun and executives of Solana Labs / Solana Foundation, accusing them of creating a 'manipulated, unlicensed gambling-style memecoin platform.' The lawsuit cites private chat records claiming that Pump fun co-founder Alon Cohen admitted that 'most investors buying memecoins on the platform would lose money.' The plaintiffs also accuse the platform of exploiting Solana's priority fee mechanism, allowing a select few with early knowledge of token launches to hoard tokens instantly and dump them on retail investors. Additionally, it alleges that some KOLs promoted tokens and built positions in advance without disclosing partnerships. However, the lawsuit currently lacks concrete evidence proving direct profits by Pump fun executives, and whether the allegations hold remains to be further examined by the court.
