Ethereum treasury company SharpLink Gaming announced that it has deployed and staked approximately $170 million worth of ETH on Ethereum's Layer 2 network, Linea. Previously, the company stated plans to stake up to $200 million ETH on Linea to achieve higher risk-adjusted returns. As the second-largest publicly listed ETH treasury company, SharpLink currently holds about 864,800 ETH (valued at nearly $2.7 billion). Notably, the company is also a member of the Linea Consortium, and its chairman, Joseph Lubin, is the founder and CEO of Consensys. Linea is a Layer 2 network incubated by Consensys.
