Interesting stuff! Let me share my thoughts on @AlloraNetwork partnering with Alibaba Cloud for this strategic move:
1) While most prediction markets are shifting focus from traditional broad domains to the crypto space, Allora is taking a different approach. Instead of sticking solely to crypto-related price predictions, LP price range optimization in on-chain DeFi scenarios, and other DeAI use cases, they’re expanding into traditional financial markets like the S&P 500 index volatility.
The underlying strategy here is the “universality” of AI inference service infrastructure. A good story doesn’t have to stay internal—it’s got the confidence to expand its reach.
2) Traditional cloud providers have always been highly inclusive, especially when it comes to AI innovation. Take the previous collaboration between @Alibaba_Qwen and distributed model service provider @flock_io, and now this partnership between Allora as a distributed inference service provider and Alibaba Cloud. The reasoning is straightforward:
Enterprise AI giants dominate in areas like global computing power networks and model training, but when it comes to exploring distributed inference middleware services, projects with web3 DNA are better suited to drive innovation and provide practical feedback.
3) DeAI has never aimed to replace centralized AI. Being adopted as a complementary solution to fill gaps is already a significant achievement.
When the signals generated by Allora’s node network not only serve DeFi on-chain strategies but also provide value to institutions in traditional financial scenarios—or even play a key role in bridging TradFi and tokenized U.S. equities—these are essential business entry points that make it easier to prove its worth.
