The x402 extension proposal we previously introduced is based on ERC-2612 + transferFrom(), enabling gasless transfers for tokens that support Permit, thereby supporting more tokens. The solution proposed by pieverse is simpler and more straightforward: if a token doesn’t support ERC3009, just wrap it with a contract to make it compatible, similar to BNB -> WBNB, except here it’s converting USDT into pieUSD. The wrapped pieUSD can then be transferred gaslessly using transferWithAuthorization(). Although it’s not the most elegant solution (users need an extra wrap transaction), it’s indeed a solution that can be implemented immediately on BSC. @pieverse_io
