In one of the cases, the user manager of a certain network technology company, Mr. Shi, introduced a supplier to cooperate with virtual currency business, illegally accepted bribes, and embezzled virtual currency to cash out. From April 2014 to January 2019, Shi served as a user manager in the Tieba Business Department and illegally accepted 6.08 million yuan from a technology company in Beijing, taking advantage of his position. From June to December 2016, he monetized some virtual currencies and illegally seized 3.66 million yuan from the company. In February 2021, Shi was arrested. After trial, the court found that Shi was guilty of accepting bribes as a non-state employee and embezzlement of official duties, and was punished for multiple crimes.
