Odaily Planet Daily News: The US Department of Justice has charged 12 defendants with involvement in a $263 million cryptocurrency fraud and money laundering case. The members of this criminal gang are mostly young people. They first met through online games and later stole the victims' encrypted assets through hacking attacks, social engineering, and home invasions. One of the victims lost about 4100 bitcoins worth approximately 230 million US dollars. To cover up illegal gains, the suspect stuffed a large amount of cash into Squishmallows plush toys and sent them to each other through the US postal system. The main suspects include 20-year-old Malone Lam (also known as "King Greavys"), 19-year-old Marlon Ferro ("GothFerrari"), and 21-year-old Conor Flansburg ("Green Room"). It is alleged that they once spent $500000 a night at a nightclub and owned a private plane and a luxury car worth millions of dollars. At present, some suspects have been arrested in the United States, and two others are reportedly residing in Dubai. (DL News)
