[Aave Labs Clarifies That the Proposed Foundation Has No Discretion Over Protocol Decisions] Odaily Planet Daily News: Aave Labs previously disclosed that it had submitted an ARFC proposal on the governance forum, suggesting the establishment of a non-member foundation, Aave Foundation, in the Cayman Islands. In response to community concerns, it clarified through an FAQ that all matters, including protocol framework amendments, will still be decided by the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) through existing processes. The Aave Foundation will hold assets but will have no discretion over protocol decisions. The protocol itself will continue to be managed by the DAO through token holders, with no shareholders having authority over the Aave ecosystem. The same restrictions apply to all service providers hired by the DAO, including matters such as listings, parameters, budgets, vendor collaborations, and framework amendments. Furthermore, the DAO can replace directors at any time via AIP, instruct the foundation to dissolve, and decide the use of its remaining assets, including transferring them to a successor entity. All actions must comply with the directors' fiduciary duties, statutory obligations, and applicable laws.
