[Today's Hot Topic: Aave Extends Collateral Narrative to Securities and GPUs, Tokenomics 3.0 May Consider Burn Mechanism]
Odaily Planet Daily News: Aave's current core expansion direction is to gradually extend collateralized lending from crypto assets to securities and more productive physical assets. Discussions have mentioned that Aave V4 has launched tokenized stock lending on Base, initially supporting seven U.S. stocks. Users can pledge stocks to borrow USDC without having to directly sell their holdings. Aave founder Stani divides the potential market into three phases: Crypto, Securities, and Abundance Assets. Future plans aim to cover assets such as solar energy, batteries, GPUs, robotics, and even space infrastructure, providing financing for these productive assets that can drive a "society of abundance."
Regarding this direction, some believe that Aave's long-term narrative has been planned out to 2050, with the scope of collateral expanding from crypto assets to securities and eventually into the realm of physical assets.
In terms of token mechanisms, AAVE currently primarily employs a buyback mechanism, but related buybacks have been halted for a considerable period. Some suggest that Aave Tokenomics 3.0 may consider introducing a burn mechanism. Whether these plans can be implemented and whether market participants will allocate AAVE accordingly remains dependent on individual choices.
