[Iran Reaffirms 'Sovereign Rights' Over the Strait of Hormuz] Deep Tide TechFlow reports that on August 17, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated that existing laws already encompass Iran's 'sovereign rights' in the Arabian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman. Baghaei noted that the Iranian Foreign Ministry will continue to collaborate with parliament to advance legislation related to Iran's rights in the region. He stated: 'The Foreign Ministry always takes current laws and practical realities into account. The parliament's stance is explicitly clear in the constitution, and the Foreign Ministry considers it its duty to engage in necessary cooperation with parliament throughout all legislative processes.' He added that the Iranian Foreign Ministry has previously provided professional opinions on related bills and will do so again if requested by parliament members. (Jin10)
