According to official reports, MARA posted a Q2 net loss of $611 million (loss of $1.60 per share), significantly missing analysts' expectations of a $0.35 per share profit. Revenue declined 27% year-over-year to $175 million, falling short of projections. The loss was primarily driven by an unrealized impairment of approximately $343 million in digital assets due to the decline in Bitcoin prices (with the average Bitcoin price down 28% YoY). The company's hash rate increased 22% YoY to 70.3 EH/s, while Bitcoin production rose 3% to 2,422 BTC. However, Bitcoin holdings dropped from 49,951 BTC to 35,577 BTC (a 29% decrease).
