Just came across this international standard led by China, titled *'Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology: Technical Framework and Functional Requirements for Blockchain-as-a-Service'*—didn't believe it at first, but I read it a few times to confirm. It's already officially initiated under ISO. This standard mainly focuses on three things: · How to build and maintain the underlying network and infrastructure; · How to unify service management and the full lifecycle of smart contracts; · How to implement data interaction, privacy protection, and security compliance. To put it simply, it's about setting the 'rules' for global BaaS platforms. In the future, when businesses choose platforms, migrate across platforms, or connect systems, they might not have to deal with everyone doing their own thing and ridiculously high costs anymore. Blockchain has been talking about 'empowering industries' for years, but when it comes to actual implementation, the biggest headache is often not the technology itself but the lack of unified standards and poor interoperability. The fact that China is leading this push to the international level is pretty noteworthy. Hopefully, this can truly be implemented down the line, making blockchain less about 'concepts' and more about practical use.
