According to Bitcoin News, around 500 single-signature Bitcoin addresses were involved in a mass transfer, totaling approximately 594 BTC, valued at around $38 million. The funds were later consolidated into another wallet. The affected addresses all used single-signature mechanisms, with balances primarily ranging from about 0.15 to 0.26 BTC, and some UTXOs had been inactive for years. Since one of the victims used a Coldcard device, the market speculated that the incident might be related to the device. However, Coldcard CEO NVK denied any device-level vulnerabilities, stating that the user may have imported previously leaked or weak seed phrases. He also pointed out that the transfer involved private keys from different wallets. Bitcoin security researcher Jameson Lopp noted that some victims only had specific UTXOs transferred, rather than their entire wallet balances, which could indicate that the attacker obtained partial private keys rather than complete seed phrases. The source of the incident remains unclear, and there is no evidence of Coldcard random number vulnerabilities, supply chain attacks, or Bitcoin cryptographic flaws. https://(wublock123.com)/news/594-btc-moved-from-500-single-signature-addresses-unknown-reason-65643
