[China Launches Special Initiative to Enhance AI Large Model IPv6 Capabilities] Today (July 28), reporters learned from Xiong'an New Area that the 'Special Initiative to Enhance AI Large Model IPv6 Capabilities' has been jointly launched by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) along with the cyberspace administrations of Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Shenzhen, in collaboration with five leading large model enterprises in Xiong'an New Area. The initiative aims to promote generative large model applications, fully support IPv6, and establish a solid network foundation for the intelligent era. Currently, various applications based on AI large models are thriving, with Token traffic showing explosive growth trends, posing new demands on network carrying capacity. IPv6, with its vast address space, efficient routing mechanisms, and inherent security capabilities, has become the critical foundation for supporting large model applications. This special initiative will last for one year and focus on enhancing the scalability of large model IPv6 applications, improving IPv6 management standards for large models, increasing the IPv6 support level of large model infrastructure, driving large model applications to scale IPv6 traffic, boosting the proportion of IPv6 access in large model API calls, advancing the integration and innovation of large models with IPv6, and promoting the evolution of the internet toward native intelligence. Additionally, the Xiong'an New Area IPv6 single-stack deployment initiative was officially launched today. Xiong'an New Area will comprehensively advance single-stack IPv6 deployment, focusing on four dimensions: strengthening the foundation, broadening empowerment, tackling key challenges, and fostering an ecosystem. By 2030, newly developed areas will fully achieve large-scale single-stack IPv6 operations. (CCTV News)
