Across released the post-incident report on the Relayer security event from July 17. The attacker exploited a vulnerability in Risk Labs' off-chain event reading software on the Solana network, fabricating 1,627 fake deposit events with a total value of approximately $41.7 million. Before suspending Solana services, the Relayer processed 581 of these transactions, advancing around $4.5 million of its own funds, while the remaining $37 million in fake deposits were invalidated. Across stated that this incident did not involve any smart contract vulnerabilities, and all user transactions were either completed on the same day or fully refunded. Approximately $500,000 of the attacker's funds have been locked within the protocol, and Risk Labs' current net loss is under $4 million, with the amount continuing to decrease as funds are recovered.
