[Another Attack in the Strait of Hormuz, Anglo-French Minesweeping Plan Faces Setback]
Golden Finance reported that on July 7, shortly after Oman approved the Anglo-French collaboration to clear the southern waterways of the Strait of Hormuz, another ship attack occurred within the strait, causing a setback to the Anglo-French minesweeping plan. Unnamed officials from the UK and France revealed that minesweeping vessels and troops from both countries have already been deployed and are ready to carry out limited minesweeping operations in Omani waters once military orders are issued. Previously, on July 4, the UK and France announced a diplomatic breakthrough, successfully persuading Oman to agree to the escort and minesweeping mission.
