[Two Major Shipping Giants Resume Suez Canal Route] According to a report by Golden Finance on July 7, citing CCTV, Denmark's Maersk Shipping Group announced on the 6th that it will collaborate with Germany's Hapag-Lloyd through the "Gemini" partnership network established by the two major shipping companies, allowing some of their vessels to resume using the Suez Canal route. Global shipping companies initially opted to reroute around the African continent to avoid the Red Sea, Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, and the Suez Canal starting in November 2023. At that time, following the outbreak of a new round of the Israel-Palestine conflict, Yemen's Houthi forces launched attacks on Israel-linked vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, forcing shipping companies to avoid the Suez Canal.
