[UK Reform Party Leader Farage Accused of Failing to Declare Crypto Gambling Industry Funding, Donor Previously Convicted of Fraud]
According to an investigation by *The Sunday Times* cited by The Block, UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage failed to declare financial support provided by George Cottrell, including security, drivers, social media staff, and accommodation, prior to his 2024 parliamentary election campaign as required. Cottrell previously served eight months in a U.S. prison for wire fraud and later became a key figure in the cryptocurrency gambling platform Tether.bet. Farage only declared a £9,253 trip to Belgium and a £15,276 flight donation funded by Cottrell, without mentioning prior security expenses already paid by Cottrell.
