[Iran's Strait Passage Fees Drop Significantly]
Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to the British *Lloyd's List*, some vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz are required to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars per ship to obtain Iran's passage permit, with related fees having dropped significantly compared to the early stages of the conflict. The report, citing shipping security operators, states that the current single passage fee for bulk carriers can reach up to $120,000, while for oil tankers it can go up to $160,000. The specific rates vary depending on factors such as vessel type, cargo, and the nationality of the shipowner. This marks a significant decrease compared to the $1 million to $2 million charged per ship during the early stages of the conflict. (Xinhua News Agency)
