UK banks have seriously strict risk controls. Tried transferring some money from my bank card to Kraken, and they either directly refunded the funds, saying they don’t support crypto transactions.
Finally, Revolut came through since they have their own crypto services, so I could transfer to the exchange.
Had to do face scans three times, got fraud alerts about four or five times, watched anti-fraud videos in multiple languages, and even had to submit documents.
Then, after four hours of manual review, the transfer finally went through.
Come on, who doesn’t dabble in crypto these days? Don’t I know whether it’s fraud or not?
