[edgeX Releases Report on EDGE Token Flash Crash Incident and Introduces Compensation Plan of Up to 100,000 USDC]
edgeX officially released a report on the abnormal price fluctuation of the EDGE token on June 2, stating that the price of EDGE plummeted from $1.12 to approximately $0.32 within about an hour. The flash crash was caused by concentrated selling from multiple addresses during a period of low liquidity, combined with high-leverage long liquidations and CEX interactions. No changes occurred to team addresses during this period. edgeX announced plans to strengthen market-making and liquidity, as well as establish an on-chain bounty of 200,000 USDC to trace addresses associated with the attack.
