Just finished reading OKX's ExchangeOS whitepaper. Gotta say, their ambition is huge—they're aiming to build an AWS or Shopify for the on-chain financial sector. With OKB staking, anyone can create their own financial market as easily and cost-effectively as setting up a website, and without needing permission. The entire infrastructure is shared at the base layer, including accounts, matching, clearing, oracles, margin, liquidity, and risk control. But on top of that, you can freely create all kinds of asset-type DEXs like perpetual contracts, prediction markets, private equity, RWA, etc., with highly customizable rules.
What’s interesting is their resource auction mechanism. Since anyone can create unlimited markets, the system could get flooded with junk markets and useless trading pairs. To address this, they’ve introduced an auction system—basically, the more OKB you stake, the more resources you can bid for, which allows you to list more trading pairs.
