This tax is based on weight. Result: recyclable and non-toxic package like glass becomes too expensive. The glass factories close (job losses), and more of our food will be packaged in carcinogenic plastic, with the added benefit of even more toxic waste that doesn’t decompose for 20 to 500 years and never fully disappears.
