[The Trump family granted 'permanent' immunity from existing tax audits] According to Foresight News, citing the Financial Times, under an agreement, U.S. tax authorities will be prohibited from suing Donald Trump, his eldest son, and the Trump Organization to block the $10 billion lawsuit the former president filed against the IRS. This commitment, made by the Department of Justice on Tuesday, came a day after Trump agreed to settle his lawsuit against the IRS in exchange for the U.S. government launching a $1.8 billion fund to provide relief to so-called 'victims of legal battles.' On Monday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced the establishment of a fund aimed at assisting those who claim to have been victims of unjust investigations and prosecutions by previous administrations. This move has drawn strong criticism from Democrats and skepticism from some Republicans on Capitol Hill. Democratic Senator Patty Murray on Tuesday accused Trump of creating a 'secret fund to line his own pockets and benefit his friends.' Trump stated on Monday that he was not involved in the establishment of the fund and 'knows very little about it.'
