Better interoperable access to stocks is a good thing.
Right now there are two ways to buy stocks:
1) Costly, per-transaction brokers with crap interfaces, during business hours.
or
2) Gamified "free" brokerages that sell your order flow.
Both lock you in to their ecosystem of products and are exploitative.
Onchain products still have *a lot* of crap very wrong with them but they are *very* good at allowing for competition.
If stocks have a tokenized standard, you can move from broker to broker, lender to lender, rail to rail, 24/7 - and anyone can build systems for them while relying on underlying KYC.
That kind of competition, results in better products and better prices for consumers, and less exploitative revenue for bankers.
So this has been a long time coming.(Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth))
