According to Yonhap News, security firm Kaspersky and Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) reported that a suspected North Korea-linked hacker group is leveraging AI to automate the generation of malicious code and exploit zero-day system vulnerabilities. South Korea's National Intelligence Service revealed that these hackers allegedly stole approximately $1.48 billion worth of virtual assets last year, reinvesting the proceeds into upgrading their attack tools. Additionally, reports suggest that North Korea is attempting to develop its own AI model, 'Ryongma 1.0,' to further enhance its cyberattack capabilities. These allegations have yet to be officially confirmed.
