TRUMP: NAVAL BLOCKADE OVER IRAN NUCLEAR STANDOFF The meeting went well and most issues were resolved—but the only one that mattered, nuclear, was not. Effective immediately, the U.S. Navy will begin blockading all ships entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz. This will continue until free and safe passage is guaranteed. Iran has refused, citing vague threats like undisclosed mines. The Navy will also intercept any vessel that has paid illegal tolls to Iran. Those ships will not have safe passage. U.S. forces will begin clearing Iranian mines in the strait. Any attack on U.S. forces or civilian vessels will be met with overwhelming force. Iran knows how to end this. The blockade will begin shortly, with support from other nations. The U.S. will not allow Iran to profit from what it calls illegal extortion.
