[Saudi Arabia's Recent Energy Facility Attacks: Oil Fields and Refineries Damaged, Exports and Production Capacity Under Pressure]
BlockBeats News, April 10 – According to reports from the Saudi National News Agency and sources within the Ministry of Energy, a series of recent attacks on energy infrastructure within Saudi Arabia have caused significant disruptions to the crude oil production and export system.
Specifically, production facilities at the Khurais and Manifa oil fields were attacked, resulting in a daily production decrease of approximately 300,000 barrels each. Additionally, a critical pumping station on the East-West pipeline was damaged, further reducing daily oil transportation by about 700,000 barrels.
The refining sector was also impacted, with major facilities such as the Jubail Satorp Refinery, Ras Tanura Refinery, Yanbu Samref Refinery, and Riyadh Refinery all affected. This has directly hindered the ability to export refined products to the global market.
Furthermore, a fire at the Juaymah processing facility disrupted exports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG). The Saudi Ministry of Energy confirmed that the attacks have resulted in the death of an industrial security officer from an energy company, and operations at some energy facilities have been forced to halt.
