[Iran's Revolutionary Guard Announces Safe Passage Map for the Strait of Hormuz to Avoid Naval Mines]
BlockBeats News, April 9: On April 9 local time, it was reported that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a statement saying that due to the impact of recent conflicts, anti-ship naval mines may be present in the main traffic areas of the Strait of Hormuz. Ships planning to pass through the strait should coordinate with the Revolutionary Guard Navy and follow the alternative routes they have designated to avoid triggering mines. According to the map attached to the statement, the alternative route requires vessels to enter and exit the Persian Gulf from the northern and southern sides of Larak Island in the northern part of the strait.
On April 8, the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization released a safety navigation map for the waters of the Strait of Hormuz, advising passing ships to adhere to maritime safety principles to avoid mines. In a statement, the organization noted that from February 28 to April 8, conflicts have persisted in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, and various types of anti-ship naval mines may be present in the main shipping lanes of the Strait of Hormuz.
