Bitcoin developers are advancing the BIP-360 proposal, aiming to reduce public key exposure risks by removing Taproot's key-path spend. This is one of Bitcoin's first quantum-resistant technology preparations. It was merged into the bitcoin/bips repository on February 11 and is currently in Draft status.
